To get 3D looping motion:
If you want to create a 30 frame walk cycle, create your 30 frames of motion.
Then go to the motion editor and select "repeat" for the motion's end
behavior. (Do this for all objects involved in the loop of course.) Be
careful though, you can get some quirky motion when it gets to the end of the
motion loop. I always set tension to 1 in the spline controls for the first
and last keyframes of a loop.
To get 2 looping:
You can do it similar to D-Paint. If you have a series of 2D images of a walk
cycle for example: Load the image sequence, and select loop length (right
there in the image menu.) Then do whatever you wish with the image, i.e.
planar image map it onto a frame object, maybe have an alpha image sequence
also that transparency maps the frame object as well.
